Product Description
Pharma grade magnesium carbonate is a pure, white, odorless powder with a friable texture. The magnesium carbonate powder has a stable melting point at 350℃ and decomposes at 700℃ into carbon dioxide and magnesium oxide. With a relative density of 2.2, it is nearly insoluble in water and ethanol, exhibiting a mild alkaline reaction.
Magnesium carbonate heavy is used as a magnesium supplement, in antacid formulations to neutralize stomach acid, and as a flour treatment agent. Magnesium carbonate supplement also functions as an anti-caking agent for powders and a leavening agent in food products.
